Desktop Wallet Won't Sync

Hi there, I just opened my MOB desktop wallet after about a year of inactivity and was able to get in fine using my password, but the wallet is not fully syncing with the ledger.

I’ve had it open for over 24 hours at this point and it’s been stuck at 83% sync with the ledger for most of that time.

Any idea what might be happening? This is on a 10-year-old Macbook Air I have, not sure if that might be part of the issue or not.

You have to use the current version:

There were updates to the blockchain (e.g. due to eUSD), hence new blocks are not understood by old clients.

The Desktop wallet should update by itself - but I have found this feature to only in <50% of cases.
