For a couple of months now, buying mobilecoins from the website buy.mobilecoin.com has been impossible. When going directly to Moonpay’s website, (Moonpay is apparently the fintech platform used to power the official MOB website), their website indicates that buying MOB “has been suspended temporarily for maintenance reasons”. But this “maintenance” has been going on for months now. It is annoying to have to go through exchanges to buy MOB, the official MOB website is quite a great and user-friendly on-ramp.
